Description

Initially used by the military as suspension lines for their parachutes, parachute cord, or paracord as it's now known, is used today in a wide array of uses. The hottest thing these days is to braid and weave paracord into any number of items, such as bracelets and dog leashes. We are the leading paracord retailer in the Arvada and Denver area.

All of our paracord suppliers construct their cord according to U.S. Military specification, designated Type III MIL-C-5040. This designation means that our paracord has a tensile strength of 550 lbs (which is the minimum breaking point). The seven inner cords have a tensile strength of 50 lbs each or a total tensile strength of 350 lbs with the covering sheath a total tensile strength of 200 lbs – 550 lb. total minimum tensile strength. Paracord will not rot or mildew, but it may shrink when it becomes wet.

Survival bracelets are the most popular items made from paracord. Each bracelet can hold a minimum of 10 feet of paracord, and can be easily disassembled to use in a survival situation. The 7 inner strands inside paracord can be used for everything from sewing to fishing.
